WD is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil B. Wellman and Bessie M. Callahan Wellman; and by his siblings Burl Wellman (Lorraine), Rissie Dunford (Donald), and Joyce Devor (Delmas); and his great-grandson Riley Oliver Wellman.
WD is survived by his wife of 67 years Nellie Louvina Graham Wellman; his son Carey L. Wellman and his wife Sharon; and his grandson Shawn C. Wellman and his wife Bethany "Beth"; and great-grandchildren London Olivia Wellman and Parker Bradley Wellman; and by his siblings Eleanor "Ellie" Polce (Bill), Bobby Wellman (Barbara), Larry Wellman (Diane), Ronnie Wellman (Sandra), and Charles Wellman (Bonnie), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
The family expresses deepest and sincerest love and appreciation for all those who have taken care of WD at Princeton Health Care Center as well as Hospice Compassus.
