William Irvin Meade

William Irvin Meade, 84, of Princeton, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on June 6, 1940 in McComas, he was a son of the late Allen Woodrow and Edna Garlic Meade. He had been a lifelong resident of Princeton and was of the Methodist faith. He was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry in Radford, VA and was a veteran of the US Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Lynn Meade.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joan Moore Meade, of the home; brothers in law, Vernon Moore of Princeton and Terry Moore of Tyler, TX.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Gerald Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.

Friends may call prior to services on Saturday, from 3:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
