Wayne David Bailey

Wayne David Bailey Sr. 71 years old of Cleveland, TN passed away in the hospital on July 28th, 2025. Originally from Bramwell, WV. He was a graduate of Bramwell High School in 1972. He was the son of the late William W. Bailey and Mary E. Bailey.

Wayne was a loving husband and best friend to his wife Lorrie Bailey. Also left to cherish his memory was his mother-in-law Deleros Jacomino of TN. His children Wayne (Stephanie) Bailey of Rock, WV; Farrah Pauley of Myrtle Beach, SC; Step-children Marianne Taylor of TN and Shannon Taylor of VA. His grandchildren Sarah (Michael) Call or Rock, WV; Savanna Bailey and fiancé Hunter Jones of Montcalm, WV; Ayden Bailey of Rock, WV; Alexis Taylor of TN; Orbelin Morales Dean of TN; Na’Kayla Johnson Taylor of TN; Honesty Johnson Taylor of TN; Chariti Edwards of VA; Emily Edwards of VA; Darren Edwards of VA. His great-grandchildren Shelby and Brooklyn of Rock, WV and Reighlina, Landon, and Lilliana of TN; Silas of VA; and Carter of VA. Best friend and one Wayne thought of as his son Timmy Cox of Bluefield.

Wayne enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and numerous friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wayne was in the Montcalm Fire Dept for 40 plus years. He started with being a fireman and eventually became a chief and President of the board for 20 years. He also worked as a coal miner in Crumpler, WV for 13 years.

He will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever.

Funeral services will be August 7th, 2025 at Cravens-Shires chapel. Visitation will begin at 2PM and the service will begin at 3PM with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating.
