Walter Thomas Hicks

Walter Thomas Hicks, 68, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at AutumnCare in Elkins, WV.
Born on August 16, 1957 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late Walter Hicks Sr. and Mary E. Thomas Hicks. He was a retired carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Hicks.
Survivors include one brother Randall Hicks and wife Veronica of Bluefield, WV. As well as one son Brandon of Virian, WV. Walter was with the Baptist Faith. Walter enjoyed walking, reading his bible, and spending time with his brother Randall. Walter will be deeply missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Eulogist David Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
