Tiera Ariel Mitchell

Tiera Ariel Mitchell of Welch West Virginia went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville KY after a lifelong battle with Type 1 Diabetes. Born on February 23,1994 in Welch WV, to Jeff and Candace Mitchell, Tiera was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was free spirited and lived life by her own terms. She had a huge heart, and would light up every room she was in. She made an impact on every person who ever got the privilege to love her. She suffered greatly in her short life, but now she is finally able to rest. Tiera was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She is proceeded in death by one sister, Dariane Cooper, Her poppaw Evert (Ebb) Mitchell, one uncle, Johnny Mitchell and one special Aunt, Audrey Asbury.

Left to cherish her memory are her Son, Braiden Cunningham. Father Jeff Mitchell of Welch, WV. Mother, Candace Mitchell of NC. Two sisters, Chelsy Mitchell and Jazzlyen Smalt of Welch, WV. Nephew Conner Vance of Welch WV. Grandmother Beulah Mitchell of Welch, WV Grandmother Carol Pendergrass and Aunt Virginia Ward of Cucumber, WV. Aunt Tammy Hutchinson and Husband Frank of NC, Aunt Misty Miller of NC . Uncle Allen Mitchell of Cucumber WV. Aunt Crystal Asbury and one Very special Uncle Berley Asbury. Plus a host of cousins and very special Friends. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Burial will follow at the Brewsterdale Cemetery. 

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
