Thomas Wayne Perdue Sr. (Tom), 70, of Brushfork, WV, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at his home with his devoted wife by his side. Born on October 25, 1951 in Brushfork, he was the son of the late Clayton and Beulah Perdue. Tom worked for Norfolk Southern for twenty years and was a member of Brushfork Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, TW Perdue, brothers, Richard and Jim Perdue, and twin brothers Ronnie and Donnie Perdue. Survivors include his loving wife, Sandy Perdue of the home; stepson Eric (Cyndi) Groseclose of Princeton, WV, and his three grandchildren who were the light of his life-Josh, Jaycee, and Blake Groseclose. He is also survived by brothers, David (Martha) Perdue of Bluefield, VA and Tazz (Charlotte) Perdue of FL. There are many other family members and loved ones left to cherish Tom’s memory. Tom lived his life fully and had big dreams up to his last days. Although illness exhausted him physically, his sweet and humble spirit never wavered. Tom had a unique zest for life and loved to be with family and friends. His joyful presence will be missed greatly. His earthly journey has now ended, but those that love Tom find peace in knowing he is now able to achieve the ultimate celebration in Heaven with those that have gone before him and one day with those that will join him. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 15 at 6:00 at the Craven-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Reverend C.T. Lilly officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00-6:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date.
