Thomas Iven Mitchem

Thomas Iven Mitchem, 79, of Anawalt, WV, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

Born on January 10, 1943 in Anawalt, he was a son of Allen S. and Maudie Cooper Mitchem. He had been a lifelong resident of Anawalt and was retired from the furniture industry. He was a member of the Long Point Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Mitchem.

Survivors include his sister Margaret Danaze (Shay) Greer of Anawalt, WV and brothers, James Ronald Mitchem of Northfork, WV, Harry Mitchem of Anawalt, WV, Claude Mitchem of Pageton, WV, and Theodore Mitchem of McArthur, WV.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with Rev. Donald Farmer officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Mausoleum chapel at 12:45 PM.
