Thomas Lynn Fuda

October 16, 1953 — April 2, 2023

Thomas Lynn Fuda, 69, passed away early Sunday morning surrounded by his loving family at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

He was the son of the late Louie and Frances Arrington-Fuda of Bluewell and Princeton, West Virginia, and the son in-law of the late Michael and Agnes Hornick of Gary, West Virginia. He was preceeded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Kip McPeak, and niece Nikki McPeak.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Anna Marie Hornick-Fuda, two daughters Jessica and wife Eugenia Fuda, and Alexandra Marie Fuda, two sons Sean Michael Fuda and fiancé Elsbeth Fox, Shannon Nicolas Fuda and Harley Graham, and two granddaughters Khaleesi Grace Fuda and Ellaria Lilith-Marie Fuda, all of Princeton. He is also survived by four siblings, Larry and wife Margaret of Rocky Mount, Virginia, Annetta McPeak of Bluefield, Jenny and Randy Householder of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Richard and Debbie Fuda of Princeton. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by a plethora of cousins, nieces, nephews, and honorary family members.

Lynn was a graduate of Bluefield High School, class of 1971, Bluefield State College, and Thomas M. Cooley College of Law in Lancing, Michigan. He was a practicing attorney in Mercer County for 26 years. Prior to attending law school, Lynn was an EMT for the Princeton Rescue Squad. He enjoyed motorcycles, movies, and music. He loved animals and nature. He held a third-degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. As an accomplished martial artist and instructor, he operated the East West Martial Arts Academy. Lynn had many talents and abilities. In his own words, he was a “jack of all trades, ace of none.” Lynn loved football, especially the Bluefield Beavers, West Virginia Mountaineers, and the great Pittsburgh Steelers. He was very competitive in that he liked to race, play trivia, and quiz his family on classic rock songs.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 7, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, West Virginia with Pastor Earl Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park after the services.

Pallbearers will be Sean Fuda, Shannon Fuda, Justin Fuda, Virgil Campbell, Jason Harmon, Tony Gross, DJ Feldes, and Mark Parks. Honorary Pallbearers are Bryce Jones, Josh Farmer, Ted Jones, Richard Leeper, Earl “Cookie” Noland Jr. Alternates William “Casey” Johnson, Austin Belcher, Shawn Rivera, and Mike Belcher.
