Thelma Rosene Fields

Thelma Rosene Fields, 93, of Bluefield, WV passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born August 23, 1928 in Falls Mills, VA, she was a daughter of the late Authur and Stacy Wimmer. She was a member of the Brushfork Baptist Church where she was very active in Women on Missions. Thelma worked for years at the Bluefield Sanitarium Hospital and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by husbands, Albert Smith, Frank Moore, and Homer Fields; sister, Lois Brown; and brother, James Wimmer.

Those left to cherish Thelma’s memory are her son, Richard A. Smith of Bluefield, WV; daughter, Brenda Burgess and husband, David of Tazewell, VA; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Graveside service will be conducted Monday, June 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Fields family.
