Our beloved Tammy Hamilton entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on June 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 13, 1961 in Iaeger, Tammy lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion. She was a faithful servant of Christ, whose kindness and compassion were a reflection of the Savior she followed.
Tammy was the daughter of the late Bernard Lee "Big Chew" Addair and Lois Jean Addair, and the sister of the late James Edward Addair. While their absence was deeply felt throughout her life, Tammy found peace in the promise of eternal life and looked forward to their joyful reunion in Heaven.
She was the cherished wife of Ronnie Hamilton, her loving partner of 47 years, whom she faithfully stood beside through all of life's seasons. Together they built a God-honoring home, filled with love, faith, and the joy of family.
Tammy was a devoted mother to her daughters, Chasity (Keith) Potter and Krissy (Jerry) Farmer, and a proud grandmother to Kelsie (Benjamin) Addair, Brandon (Jimena) Potter, Madison (Brandon) Roberts, and Morgan Farmer. She also found great joy in her great-grandchildren: Sawyer Addair, Alaina Potter, and Kamryn Addair, each a blessing and testimony of God's goodness across generations.
She is also survived by her loving sisters: Bernice "Lee" Carter, Jean (James) Overstreet, Vivian (Ernie) Collins, Karen G. Addair, and Diann (Tony) Bailey, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly and prayed for often.
Tammy's life was a living testimony of God's grace. She faced life's trials with strength, always leaning on her faith and lifting others in prayer. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unshakable trust in God touched all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope, and love that will continue to shine through the lives of her family.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Joanna Bailey and the compassionate nurses of Tug River Health Association, the staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital, and the caregivers from Compassus Hospice, whose kindness and care were true blessings in Tammy's final days.
As Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Tammy has now received her crown of righteousness and is resting in the eternal peace of her Heavenly Father.
Until we meet again in Glory, she will be forever missed and forever loved.
