Steven Mark Lafferty, 65, of Chestnut Street, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Tazewell Community Hospital.

Born on August 4, 1955 in Beckley, WV, he was a son of the late Larkin and Margie Tingle Lafferty. He had been a resident of Bluefield, Virginia for 4 ½ years and was a member of the Penn Ridge Baptist Church on Burke Mountain. He was retired from US Steel as a mechanic and electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Caldwell Lafferty of the home; a son, Steven Lafferty, Jr. of Princeton, WV; 3 grandchildren, Journey and Danyelle Lafferty and Connor Rotenberry; a sister, Julie Pitt of Middlesboro, KY; 2 brothers, Michael (Pam) Lafferty of Sparta, NC, and David (Anita) Lafferty of Havelock, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Elders Dennie Mullins and John Caves officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
