Shirley Sue Davis Mitchem, 83, born in Welch, WV, home in Portsmouth, VA. Gained her wings on Friday, January 30, 2026 at her daughter's home in Bluefield, WV. 

She was of Pentecostal faith at Portnorfolk, VA. and The Deliverance Temple Church in Bluefield, WV. She was an ordained minister and an Evangelist teacher. She worked at the 700 Club for many years. She has also and will be remembered by many for being a prayer warrior. For doing the Lord's will and leading many to Him. 

She moved back to WV 6 months ago to live with her daughter. She attended the Deliverance Temple Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart, mind and soul. As well as her Pastors, family and friends. 

She is proceeded in death by her husband of over 40 years, William C. Mitchem, 2 sons...Mike and Johnny Davis, 2 sisters...Margaret Harris and Mildred Stacy, as well as her parents...John Profit and Stella Davis. Left to carry on her legacy, her words of wisdom and her heart as big as Texas are her 5 children...Wanda Rose (Thomas), Gina Luster, Joellen Littleton, Roy Davis (Sheri) and James Rose. Along with 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. 

Shirley loved deeply and was deeply loved by everyone she crossed paths with. She never met a stranger. She would stop and pray, feed and clothes you rather she knew you or not. 

Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Craven-Shires with Pastor Dave Kirby officiating. Cremation will follow.
