Shirley Evans

Shirley M Evans passed away September 13, 2022 at her home in Princeton West Virginia.

Born on May 22, 1937 in McComas, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Gills. She was retired from Tultex Corporation with over 30 years of service. She was a big fan of country music and WVU football. She spent hours talking on the phone with her dear sister Doris and talking and visiting with her dear friend Darlene Meadows.

She was preceded in death by her husband Buford Evans and her only child, Deborah Griffith.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Jerry Griffith; sister Doris Evans; brother Bo Gills; grandson, Michael Griffith and wife Kari; a granddaughter, Sabrina Pacitto and husband Danny. The light of her life were her grandchildren, Zachary White, II, Ethan Griffith and Emily Keene; and a bonus great granddaughter Kait Carver.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.

Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 1 o’clock until 2 o’clock on Tuesday.
