Shirley Lee Brock

Shirley Lee Brock, 83, of Walnut St. Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Lewis Gale Hospital in Blacksburg, VA after a long battle with COPD.

Born on August 20, 1939, in Montcalm, WV, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Loraine Sutphin Shrewsbury. She had been a resident of Bluefield for over 30 years and was a graduate of Beaver High School. She attended Maple View Church of Christ and had also been a resident of Maples Assisted Living for four years. Shirley was a good Christian woman and loved everyone. She retired from the furniture industry.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Mallen Brock, and two brothers, Thomas “Budge” and James Shrewsbury.

Those left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her brothers, Donald Shrewsbury and wife Judy of Bluefield, WV, and Richard Shrewsbury and wife Kathy of Roanoke, VA; sisters, Lois Caswell and husband Irvin of Acworth, GA, Betty Jo Pintur and husband Steve of Flowery Branch, GA, and Carol Duncan of Bluefield, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 24, 2023, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
