Shawn Daniel Bales

Shawn Daniel Bales, 47, of Emerald Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on November 20, 1977 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Danny Ray and Benita O'Donnell Bales. He was employed by Bluefield State University and worked in the Print Shop.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Nina and Ezra Bales, and Mildred and Albert O'Donnell.

Survivors include his brother, Andy Bales and wife, Tammy of Richlands, VA; sister, Stephanie Bales and boyfriend, Jeffrey Evans of Bluefield, WV; and nieces and nephews, Jackson and Eden Bales, and Sierrah and Elizabeth Bales.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 27, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Dr. Dan Jividen and Pastor Brent Ferrell officiating. 

Friends may call prior to services on Thursday, from 6:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
