Samuel Albert Murray

Samuel Albert Murray, 77, of Bluefield, WV passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at his home. Born March 7, 1948 in Boissevain, VA, Samuel was a son of the late Albert and Carrie May Bailey Murray. In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by his three sisters, Goldie, Mary, and Elsie; and his three brothers, Bobby, Franklin, and Paul. Samuel was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a hard worker, enjoying his work in carpentry. In his spare time, Samuel enjoyed fishing.

Those left to cherish Samuel's memory are his wife, Aaron Jones Murray of the home; son, Samuel (Jr.) Gilbert of Brushfork, WV; special niece, Sissy Sawyers; special nephew, Jim Lowe; special sister-in-law, Rosetta Jones; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
