Samuel William Jones

Samuel William Jones, age 79, of Duhring-Bluefield, WV died on Saturday July 2, 2022 at his home. Born on January 24, 1943 in Bramwell, he was a son of the late Harold and Irma Jones. He had been a resident of Duhring for the past 20 years and was a member of the Church of God. He was a Veteran of the US Army and was retired from Belcher Hydraulic Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Jones; and a step-daughter, Tammy Harris. Survivors include: His wife: Joyce Garris Jones of the home Daughter: Gina Hunter Step-Son: Eugene Penland and significant other, Mischa Brothers: Jerry Jones and wife Beth Bob Jones and wife Jane Sisters: Linda Punturi and Bobby Sister-in-Law: Arlene Jones Multiple grandchildren, nieces, and nephews Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Jack Chadwell, his nephew, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where his pallbearers will be family and friends. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 -2:00 PM prior to the service. The family is accepting online condolences at www.cravens-shires.com.
