Ronald Curtis Davidson

January 15, 1941 — April 17, 2021

Ronald Curtis Davidson, 80, of Bluefield, VA, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his home. Born in Boissevain, VA, he was the son of the late Mildred Geraldine Davidson Hawley and the late James Leonard Davidson. He was a graduate of the Graham High School class of 1958 and served in the United States Army. He was the owner of Ron’s Kwik Stops for 17 years. He attended Deliverance Temple where he rededicated his life and was baptized.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, L. C. (Cleve) and Myrtle Marshall, who raised him; brother, Earl Leonard Davidson; sisters-in-law, Billie Sue Davidson and Dawn LaRue Fox; brothers-in-law, James R. Fox and Kenny Willis Witt.

He will be loving and affectionately remembered by his wife of 37 years, Carol Ellen Davidson of Bluefield, VA; son, James Michael and Susan Davidson of Bluefield, VA; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Coe of Bluefield, WV whom he raised from 10 years old; brother, David and Michelle Hawley of Falls Mills, VA; grandchildren, Aaron Matthew Davidson and Lexi Lambert of Bluefield, VA; Haley Dawn Davidson of Falls Mills, VA, and Reagan Elizabeth Coe and Markel Aranberri; nieces, Carrie Hawley and Mitchell Justice of Falls Mills, VA, Rebecca Cline and Caleb of Abingdon, VA; nephews, Marshall Hawley and Britany Cox of Lake Bottom, WV, and a host of special friends and neighbors.

A service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. at Deliverance Temple Church with Pastor David Kirby officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the church from 5:30 p.m. until the hour of the service. Military Graveside Rights will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Maple Hill Cemetery at 3:00 pm. If attending committal, please meet at Maple Hill Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be David Hawley, Aaron Davidson, Marshall Hawley, Randy Earnest, James Greene, and Ahmad Bradshaw.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jack Sarver, Mike Adams, Jimmy Compton, Charles Bowling, and Rusty Fife.
