Roger Lee Taylor

Roger Lee Taylor, 75, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home. Born September 27, 1946 in Smokeless, WV, he was a son of the late Hubert Daniel and Thelma Farmer Taylor. Roger was a veteran and was self-employed in construction. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Taylor; daughter, Misty Taylor; and three sisters as well as two brothers. Those left to cherish Roger’s memory are his sons, Roger Hill and wife, Samantha of the home, and Danny Taylor and wife, Melissa of Princeton, WV; daughters, Lisa Light of Thomasville, NC, and Sylvia Taylor of Kegley, WV; brothers, Hubert Taylor and wife, Hattie of Bluefield, WV, and Robert Taylor of Lashmeet, WV; sisters, Sue Hale and husband, Benny of Lashmeet, WV, and Ruth Imajean Weese and husband, Paul of Hiawatha, WV; and two grandsons, Brandon Wise and Kevin Wise. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 13, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Taylor family.
