Robert Allen Silvers

Robert (Bob) Allen Silvers (72, of Bluefield, WV, passed away April 28, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Betty Silvers; granddaughter Destiny, great grandson Dezmon, and son in law John Little.

Allen is survived by his wife of 50 years  Karen June Galyean Silvers; daughter Celina Silvers Little: Four grandchildren: Victoria Bayne and husband Lucas, Robert Fullen, Alexandria Fullen and Joseph Fullen; five great grandchildren: Colton Treadway, Shasta   Wolfe, Aiden  Bayne, Cameron  Bayne,  and Mallory Bayne; brother: Danny  Silvers and his wife Karen. A sister Christina (Tina) Silvers McGuire and  husband Terry. One  aunt  Nancy (Shelby) Brandenburg.

Allen (Bob) was  a graduate of laeger High School. He graduated  from West Virginia University with a degree in Mining Engineering.  He worked in  Coalwood for 46+ years. In 1976 he began with  Olga Coal Company   and continued working in  Coalwood through  several  company changes. After Warrior Tractor took over and changed the name  to Alawest, he worked   for Gene Taylor of Warrior Tractor for 31 years  up until his death. Allen (Bob) was  a family man. He loved his family and was proud  of them. He looked after them and  was  always there for them. He would often  anticipate his family's needs and took  care of those needs promptly. He will be sorely missed by his loved ones.

Services will be held Friday May 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Ron Baity officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.

Friends may call on Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
