Robert Allen Palmer, Sr.

Robert Allen Palmer, Sr., 66, of Anawalt, WV passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Raleigh General Hospital.  Born February 28, 1955 in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late James E. Palmer, Sr. and Juel L. Forrest Palmer. Robert worked in the coal mines and was a welder for W&B Fabricators and was a member of the Conklintown Church of God.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randall Ray Palmer and Johnny Wayne Palmer.

Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his wife, Judy L. Holleman Palmer of the home; son, Robert Palmer, Jr. (Tandra) of Charleston, WV; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, November 8, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Palmer family.
