Robert Livingston "Rob" Lee

Robert Livingstone “Rob” Lee passed away peacefully at his home in Welch, WV on February 28, 2023, at the age of 85. He was born March 4, 1937, to Ellis O’Brian and Daisy Hull Lee. Rob was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack, Frankie, Donald, Cecil and Danny Lee. He was employed by the City of Welch as commissioner for 52 years and retired in 2019. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Salem. He loved sports and was a WVU, Baltimore Orioles and Red Socks fan. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Whittaker Lee; Children, Steve, (Ann) and Robin G. Lee; Step-Children, Robin Noe and Robbie (Tammy) Noe all of Welch, WV; Brothers, Ellis (Mary) Lee of Temple, TX, Tommy (Lilly) Lee of Falls Mills, VA, David Lee of Stanley, NC, Roy Lee of Abingdon, VA and Irvin (Debbie) Lee of Oceana, WV; Sisters, Faye Jones of Coalwood, WV, Alyce (Bill) Fleming of Bristol, VA and Pat (Fred) Joyce of Luray, VA. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Ashley Bailey (Brandon Winebarger), Travis (Faith) Noe and Tiffany Noe Cleary and eight great-grandchildren, Aiden and Skylar Farmer, Jaycee, Shaylyn Cleary, Karter, Ben, Jerry and Charlee Noe. Special thanks to his caregivers, Robin Noe and Elvis Spence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with his brother, Irvin Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where members of the Street Department of Welch will serve as pallbearers and full Military Graveside Honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call from 11:00 AM til 2:00 PM prior to the service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Lee family.
