Robert Everett Cleary

Robert Everett Cleary, 59, of Welch, WV, passed Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Welch Community Hospital.

Born January 22, 1964, in Welch, WV, he was a son to the late Clyde and Lennie Rose Cleary. Robert was a lifelong resident of McDowell County.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, Billy, and Larry Cleary, and three sisters, Peggy Mitchem, Barbara Bryant, and Alice Rotenberry.

Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his daughter, Rebecca Cleary Frost and husband David of Nigeria, West Africa; his son, Justin Cleary and companion Katie Barlow of Kimball, WV; sister, Mary Justus and husband Randy of Landgraff, WV, granddaughter, Caroline Cleary; and several nieces and nephews.  

In keeping with Robert’s wishes he is to be cremated. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
