Robert Lane Belcher

Robert Lane Belcher, 73, of Bluefield, WV passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his home. Born May 7, 1949 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late John Lewis and Naomi Gilbert Belcher. Robert was a retired coal miner and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernie Belcher, Junior Belcher, and Wayne Belcher; and sister, Darlene Stanley.

Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his wife Bonnie Murphy Belcher of the home; son, Stephen Belcher (Donna) of Bluefield, VA; daughter, Theresa Helton (Randy) of Bluefield, WV; brother, Roger Belcher (Joy) of Rock, WV; sister, Gerri Owens of Maryland; four grandchildren, Garrett Belcher, Delayni Belcher, Austin Pendleton, and Christian Pendleton; and three great-grandchildren, Ella Belcher, Aubrey Pendleton, and Nathaniel Pendleton.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2023 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Belcher family.
