Rita Darlene Poe

Rita Darlene Asbury Poe, 63, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, with her husband and loved ones by her side.

Born on March 9, 1958, in Ohio, Rita is the daughter of the late Fred Asbury and Carlene Bailey Asbury. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, ShaylahMia Grace Poe.

Rita was a resident of Bluewell, WV for over 45 years. She was a member of the Lorton Lick Wesleyan Church. Rita was a vibrant and happy person who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with all her heart! She also loved her family, friends, and everyone she met! Rita enjoyed her bible studies, movies, cookouts with family, and a good game of Phase 10. She was employed at Tabor Machinery for over 25 years and thought of her coworkers as family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years, Darrell Poe Sr; 2 sons: Darrell Jr (Nikki) of Bluewell, WV and Fred (Jennifer) of Princeton, WV; 10 grandchildren: Tyler, Austin, Aiden, Hannah, Sebastian, Kendyll, Kylie, Dominick, Alexas, and Camber; 1 great-grandchild: Paytenn; multiple honorary grandchildren; 1 brother: Ricky (Sandy) Asbury of Dangerfield, TX; 2 sisters: Freda (Barry) Wright of Bluefield, VA and Reba (Frankie) Whitt of Bluefield, WV; and 8nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 2:00pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Pastor Barry Wright and Pastor NR Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV. Pallbearers will be Barry Wright Jr, Kevin Wright, Marty Woolridge, Junior Miller, Gerald Wilburn, and Brian Lucas.

Friends may call prior to services, from 100-2:00pm on Monday, at the funeral home.
