Richard Lewis Morgan, 60, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Bluestone Nursing Home in Bluefield, WV. Born November 13, 1965 in Welch, WV, he was a son of Elmer Lewis and Sharon Kaye Morgan.

Richard Lewis Morgan born November 13, 1965 age 60, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026 with family by his side. Richard was a long time resident of McDowell County and worked at Eastern VaultHe leaves behind his beloved wife Kathy Jean Lambert Morgan of the home. Preceded in death by his beloved fur baby Bella Rose Morgan, Grandparents Bascum and Ollie Morgan and Polly and Hilda Surface, his beloved nephew Thomas Trent. survivors include his parents, Elmer and Sharon Morgan of Bluff City Tn and sister Tammy McCarty and Ed McCarty also of Bluff City Tn sister Dianna Brokaw and husband Randy Brokaw of Standish Michigan. And a host of beloved family who loved him dearly Richard loved to go four wheeling with family and hunting and fishing with his dad. He was a top mechanic working on many family members cars. He loved holiday get togethers with family. Richard loved and was loved by so many family members, including alot of special nephews and nieces that have become his children too. Richard became more than an uncle to Jackie, George, Timmy, Dodie, and Steven; he became their second dad.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Danny Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
