Raymond Marshall Comer

January 18, 1938 — March 23, 2022

Raymond Marshall Comer went to meet his Lord and Savior, March 23, 2022. Born January 18th, 1938, he was the last surviving member of his family. He was proceeded in death by his parents, John and  Elvina Comer, brothers Elbert, Simon, Willie Garrett and Johnny Comer; sisters Edith, Lilly and Bessie; grandson David Kelly.

Left to celebrate his homegoing, but mourn his passing, is his loving wife of 63 years, Jeanette of Princeton, West Virginia, and Betty (Melvin)
Brown of Danville, VA, Carol (Richard) Williams of Lashmeet, WV, Wanda (Larry) Stanley of Cookeville, TN, Raymond Lee (Rhonda) of Princeton,
WV, and Danny (Amanda) Comer of Princeton, WV. Raymond loved his wife and children, but the grandchildren and great grandchildren had a
special place in his heart: grandchildren Kristy (George) Keeney of Chesapeake, VA, Cody (Alanna) of Princeton, WV, Sarah (Justin) Handley
of Cookeville, TN, Trey (Alicia) Comer of Pilot Mountain, NC, Rachel Comer of Princeton, WV, Jase and Jackson Comer of Princeton, WV; great
grandchildren Landon and Addison Palmer of Princeton, WV, Aiden Keeney of Chesapeake, VA and Charlie and baby Handley arriving this fall
of Cookeville, TN.

Raymond was a faithful member of Calvary Messenger Ministries and loved his church families. He was a longtime member of the UMWA, and
after retiring from the coal mines in 1995, he was a tour guide at the Pocahontas VA Exhibition Mines where he enjoyed teaching about life as a
coal miner to tourists from around the world.

Raymond’s true passion, after his family, was gardening, reading his bible and “whittling”. His family and friends have been blessed with many
treasures Raymond carved from wood with skill and love. Raymond will be waiting to welcome the rest of his loved ones,
nephews and nieces and close friends when their time comes to make their journey home.
