Randy Miller Howerton, Sr.

Randy Miller Howerton, Sr., 61, of Rock, WV passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Born October 3, 1961 in Rock, WV, he was a son of the late Dewey Kee Howerton, Sr. and Juanita Bell Pendegrass Howerton. Randy lived in Gary, Indiana for thirty-five years and moved back home to Rock, WV two years ago and was employed as a truck driver for Graham Trucking. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his companion, Janice Blankenship; two brothers, Arnold “Dinkle” Howerton and Danny Howerton; and one sister, Annie Bennett.

Those left to cherish Randy’s memory are his son, Randy Miller Howerton, Jr.; daughters, Jennifer Tate and husband, Justin of Rural Retreat, VA, and Jessica Howerton of Circleville, OH; step-sons, Christopher Blankenship of Indiana, Jerry Blankenship and wife, Angela of Michigan, and Richie Blankenship and wife Ashley of Idaho; brothers, Benny Howerton and wife, Geneva of Rock, WV, Kee Howerton and wife Laura of Tennessee, and Ronald Lee Howerton and Bonnie of Pennsylvania; sister, Bonnie Howerton and companion, Ronnie Poore of Bluewell, WV; and 17 grandchildren.

In keeping with Randy’s wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no public services. His ashes will be placed in Howerton Family Cemetery. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Howerton family.
