Randy Stacey Burress

Randy Stacey Burress, 74, of Princeton, WV, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 at Westwood Center in Bluefield, VA. Born February 1, 1951 in Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Fred and Hattie (Carter) Burress of Havaco, WV and Luther Jones and Alma "Midge" Burress of Elyria, Ohio. Preceding Randy in death were both sets of parents and grandparents; half-brothers, J.D. Burress, JR. Burress, and Donald Hamm; and two half-siblings on the Jones side from Eastlake, Ohio.

Randy had been a resident of Princeton since 1988 and formerly grew up and lived in Welch/Havaco, WV. He was a member of The First Church of God on Mahood Ave. in Princeton and retired from the Department of Highways in Princeton. He always enjoyed being a coach for Welch Little League Baseball and Football before moving to Princeton.

Those left to cherish Randy's memory are Lucia (Chinsolo) Burress, his wife of 55 years; son, Timmy Burress (Susan) of Princeton, WV; daughter, Stacy Tramel (Keith) of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Curtis Burress of Charleston, Megan Kanode of Princeton, and Trinity and Braxton Tramel of NC; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Burress of Charleston, and Waylon Kanode of Princeton; two half-sisters, Susie Hamm and Barbara Jubic of Elyria, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, June 20, 2025 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Randal Dority officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Mausoleum in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
