Peggy Chilco

Peggy Darlene Chilco, 78, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Princeton Health Care Center.

Born on August 22, 1943 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late James “Buck” and Oma Walker Slone. She was a longtime member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Matoaka High School and had been a resident of Bluewell for 52 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Chilco.

Survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Doug) Workman of Princeton; Wendy (Jimbo) Cundiff of Bluefield; grandchildren, Brooke Cundiff, Blake Cundiff and Emma Workman; brother, Norman Slone of Princeton, WV , and a sister, Shelia Clark of Princeton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Ratcliff officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Blake Cundiff, Eric Ratcliff, Greg Ratcliff, Jeff Webb, Richard Chilco, and Jaedon Diggs will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Wednesday prior to services, from 12:00-1:00, at the funeral home.
