Paul Edward "Eddie" Baker, Jr.

Paul E. “Eddie” Baker, Jr.,54, of Boissevain, VA, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 21, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born on February 10, 1967 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of Rev. Paul E. Baker, Sr. and Rose Mary Breese Baker of Boissevain, VA. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Annie Baker, maternal grandparents, Rev. C.W. and Mary Breese, and furry feline “Fluffy”. Eddie was an avid lover of all types of music, especially KISS. He traveled many miles throughout his life attending over 200 concerts. In his spare time, Eddie enjoyed photography and taking care of his fur babies. One of the many high points of his life was his close friendship to actress/model, Sandra Taylor. She was the last person he spoke with before he passed away.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his sister and best friend, Pamela D. (Alan) Sawyers of Boissevain, VA; aunt, Judy (Bob) Walker of Bluefield, VA; uncle, Charles “Buddy” (Charlotte) Breese of Archdale, NC; and numerous cousins; a host of friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Dr. Doug Hyndrich and Rev. Paul Baker, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA, where Rocky Lee, Ronnie Hodge, Michael Perez, Greg Jones, Richard Akers, Michael Brinkley, Kelly Summers, and Bob Helmandollar will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call prior to services, from 12:00-2:00 on Monday, at the funeral home.
