Patricia Ann Thomason

Patricia Ann Thomason, 78, of Rock, WV, passed Friday, June 6, 2025, at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital. 

Born June 25, 1946, in Goodwill, WV, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie Griffith Gilmore, Jr. Patricia was a lifelong resident of White Hollow in Rock, WV. She retired from Hills Department Store and was also a faithful caregiver for various family members for over 30 years. Patrica loved to dance and kept her family on her toes; her lively spirit will be missed by her entire family. 

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by siblings, Woody Gilmore and Rita Dinger. 

Those left to cherish Patricia's memory are her son, Aubrey "Sonny" Thomason, of Princeton, WV; daughter Teresa Stowers and husband Randall, of Bluefield, WV; brothers, Larry Gilmore, Sr., of Bluefield, WV, and Michael Gilmore and wife Pam of Princeton, WV; sister, Roxanne Delida and husband Paul of Bluefield, WV; granddaughter, Tabitha Crouse, and great grandson, Urijah Crouse. 

Funeral services will be held, Thursday June 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. Paul Delida officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Randall Stowers, Garry Eversol, Mark Delida, Josh Delida, Larry Gilmore, Michael Gilmore serving as pallbearers and Henry Dinger, Ralph Atkins, Trevor Whitt, and Andy Tabor serving as honorary pallbearers. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
