Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Patricia Jean Call Speaks, who departed this life on June 28, 2026, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on March 17, 1940, in Coaldale, West Virginia, Patricia's journey was one marked by dedication, compassion, and enduring love for her family.

Patricia was the daughter of Jones and Lettie Call, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Fred Speaks, as well as several siblings who left this world before her: three brothers and two sisters.

Throughout her life, Patricia was best known for her deep love of her family. She held her loved ones close to her heart. This unwavering care shaped her relationships, galvanized her strength in times of hardship, and inspired those she held dear.

Patricia’s legacy continues through her surviving family members, who honor her memory with gratitude and affection: her son, Geary Dean Clyburn of Las Vegas, NV, and her daughters, Doris Sue Robeson of Burlington, NC, Susan Lynn Haddad of Barrington, RI, and Becky Call of Baltimore, MD, as well as 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Cecil Call and wife Loretta of Bluefield, WV, and sisters, June Ducette of Bluefield, WV, Carolyn Miller of Bluefield, VA, and Beverly Bashon of Bluefield, WV. Patricia’s influence and kindness will be felt by each of them for years to come.

The loss of Patricia Jean Call Speaks leaves a void in many hearts, yet her spirit endures in the love she shared so freely and the strength she provided her family throughout her life. A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV is serving the Speaks family.
