Patricia Miller

Patricia (Patty) Burton Miller, 66, of Winterhaven Avenue, Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at her home.

Born on February 15, 1952 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Eva Hairfield Burton. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Northfork High School and received her BS degree from Bluefield State College and had received her Master’s degree in Administration from Marshall University. She was a 32 year teacher having taught 23 years at Mt. View High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Burton and a sister, Doris Ann Burton.

Survivors include:

Husband of 34 years: David Miller of the home

Daughter: Sarah Miller (David) Hercey of Princeton

Granddaughter whom she adored and was the light of her life: Maecey Hercey

Nieces: Beth (Robbie) Keaton of Pipestem
Becky (Alvin) Shrewsbury of Lerona

Nephews: Jared Burton of Pipestem
Bryan Miller of Charlotte, NC

Sister in law: Patricia Burton of Pipestem

Brother in law: Geff (Debbie) Miller of Charlotte, NC

Great nieces and nephews: Ryan, Devin, Emily and Abbie

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00PM at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Jividen and Rev. David Hercey officiating.

Friends may call at the church from 12:00-2:00PM.
