Norma J. Conley

Norma J. Richardson Conley, 89, of Frog Level Road (Coalwood), Welch, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at her home.

Born on August 24, 1933 in Coalwood, WV, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Dollie Quesenberry Richardson. She had been a lifelong resident of Coalwood and was a 74-year member of the Coalwood Methodist Church, where she was the oldest member. She was a majorette for Big Creek High School (class of 1951) and was a member of the Welch Rebekah’s Organization and the Coalwood Woman’s Club. She formerly worked for the Olga Coal Company, Bank of War (Pioneer Bank) and MCNB Banks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lansford H. Conley.

Survivors include her son, William “Bill” Conley (Buggs) of Coalwood, WV; daughters, Sherri E. Angelisanti of Coalwood, WV, and Beverly Ann Conley (Pistelli) of Cottageville, WV; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Bishop Tim Akers, and Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Private burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers and David Williams will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Friends may call prior to services on Sunday, from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
