Monica Leigh Baldwin, age 44, of Bluefield WV, left this earth for her eternal home on July 8th, 2026.
Monica was born in Bluefield, WV on July 5th,1982. She was born to Sharon Surway Baldwin and James Baldwin. Monica was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Aaron "Josh" Stultz, whom she loved and missed dearly. Maternal grandparents Mike and Sophia Surway, paternal grandparents Dyer and Edith Baldwin. Left to cherish her memory are her parents Sharon Surway Baldwin and Tony Wagner of Bluewell, WV, daughter Alexis Erin Stultz of Myrtle Beach, SC, Special aunt and uncle, Sam and Melinda Surway Angles, cousin, Stuart whom she grew up with along with a host of other cousins, aunts, and uncles that she loved as well. There are many special friends, too many to name, but a few to include are her beloved and faithful dog, Hank, dear friends Jaclyn Gregory, Jamie Beth Carosi, Laura Hall and Randy Neat and special friend Shawn Harman. Her in-laws Robert and Dariene Stultz, Brenda Willams Stultz, Chad Stultz and his daughter Madison.
Monica graduated from University of TN in Knoxville with a B.S. degree and earned her Master's degree from Mountain State University. She was an outstanding Certified Physician Assistant and was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. In her career. she was honored to work with so many wonderful Physicians, Physician Assistant's, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. Among those was Dr. Mike Rorrer They shared great respect and admiration for one another as well as a wonderful friendship. In fact, Monica considered him to be a second dad as he considered her as a daughter.
Monica was so selfless and was always taking care of everyone else. She will be missed beyond measure. She would want us to celebrate her life and cherish all the wonderful memories that we shared. There will be an informal memorial service at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on July 25th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00- 1:00 p.m. Friends and family are asked to share good times, stories, and memories during the service.
