Michael Joseph Hubinak, Jr., 56, of Princeton, WV, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at his home.
Born March 13, 1969, in Welch, WV, he was the son to the late Michael Joseph Hubiank Sr. and Lorena Harrah. Michael was a 1987 graduate of Mount View High School in Welch, WV, and worked as a machinist for Shrewsbury Machine and Gear.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Hubinak.
Known by most as “Hub”, those who knew him best, felt free to call on him for help in their time of need. Hub was skilled in many areas of problem solving. Hub was an excellent welder, machinist, carpenter, air conditioning, auto mechanic, farmer, and auto driver if you just needed a ride. Hub was called on for help with many tasks, as he was skilled in almost anything. Hub had little time for himself and what time he did have, he spent with his family. Hub was an exceptional husband and father. He was kind and never knew a stranger. ‘Family’ grew to include almost everyone he met, as no one was a stranger to Hub. Hub loved his family, had faith and trust in those he loved, and in God.
Those left to cherish Hub’s memory are his wife, Regina Renee Belcher Hubinak, of the home; sons, Michael J Hubinak,III and Joshua Collin Hubinak, both of the home; sisters, Andrea Hubinak Christian (Dayton Christian) of Bluefield, WV, and Theresa Hubinak Knotts, of South Carolina. Tom and Linda Belcher, in laws to Hub, of Princeton WV, and Tom “Dicky” Belcher, Brother in law, of Welch, WV, along with aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, from various states of the US and friends/family across the globe.
In keeping with Michael's wishes, he is to be cremated and a memorial service is scheduled for August 17, 2025 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Bluewell, WV.
