Michael Eugene Fife Sr., 68, of Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away on October 30, 2026, at a North Carolina hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born on January 27, 1958, Michael was the son of Ira Dale Fife Jr. and Stella Lorraine Fife. Throughout his life, Michael enjoyed working on automobiles and had a passion for auto body work. He also spent many years working in mining construction, where he took pride in his work.

Michael will be remembered by his family and friends for the life he lived and the memories he created with those around him. Though his passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will continue to live on through the family he leaves behind.

Those left to cherish his memory include: Michael Tibbs of Bluefield, WV; Misty Thompson of Johnson City, TN; Michelle Sackett (Greg) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Michael Fife Jr. (Angie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Amber Childress of Roanoke, VA; and Hayley Moorman (Kenyan) of Bluefield, WV.

He is also survived by his siblings, Marcy Hodges (Donald) and Randy Fife (Yvonne).

His beloved grandchildren: Caleb, Amber, Alexa, Riley, Carleigh, Lilliana, Raiden, Damarius, Messiah, Treshaun, James, Karter, Lovely, Kai, Soleia, Irielle, and Isabella. His precious great-grandchildren: Ah’zias and Emberlynn

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Fife (Teresa); his granddaughter, Sydney; and his great-grandchild, Acelynn. Though they are no longer here, they will forever hold a special place in his family’s hearts.

Michael’s life was a part of many stories, many memories, and many hearts. Although he is no longer with us, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will never fade.

He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. May he find peace and rest, knowing he was loved and will never be forgotten.

A private family service will be planned at a later date.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
