Melissa "Mammy" Jane Hardbarger

Melissa “Mammy” Hardbarger, 55, of Rock, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Princeton Community Hospital Bluefield ER. Born February 11, 1966 in Princeton, WV, Melissa was a daughter of the late Bob and Peggy Kanode Shockley. She was a resident of Rock, West Virginia for 30 years and a homemaker. Melissa is preceded in death by her brother, Roy Kanode.

Those left to cherish Melissa’s memory are her husband, Kenneth Ray Hardbarger of the home; sons, Shayne Wickline, of Virginia, and Cody Hardbarger of Princeton, WV; sister-in-law, Kelli Worrell of Bluefield, WV; special nephew, Arlen Worrell, who always took Melissa to the dollar tree; and several grandchildren.

In keeping with Melissa’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Hardbarger family.
