Meadie Pannell

Meadie Marie Strickland Pannell, 79, of Falls Mills, VA passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021. Born on February 28, 1942 in Gary, West Virginia to the late Willie Clarence Strickland and Myrtle Blaylock Strickland. Meadie was a resident of Falls Mills, VA for 43 years and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Brushfork Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Kyle Pannell; daughter, Dreama Pannell; brothers, Charles Phillips and John Strickland; and sisters, Shirley Asbury, Nell Mawalls, and Alice Blankenship.

Survivors include sister, Lexie Rose of Cleveland, Ohio; special sister-in-law, Susie Garvin of Princeton, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Wes Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA, where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
