Matthew Thomas Keller

     Matthew Thomas Keller, 43, of Athens, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on February 9 in his home. Born July 1, 1980 in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Cathy Webb Keller and L. Keller. He was a 1998 graduate of Montcalm High School and was employed at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Athens, Tennessee as a caregiver.

     In addition to his mother, Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Those left to cherish his memory are sisters, Kelley J. (Daniel) Dey and Crystal Sexton; nephew, Justin Sexton; nieces, Chloe and Haley Watson, all of Jacksonville, Florida; Life partner, David Duncan of the home; best friend, Ameneh Lambert of Montcalm, West Virginia; as well as many family and friends who loved him dearly.

     A funeral service will be conducted by his cousin, Jason Underwood, Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 6:00 P.M at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. Family only visitation will take place from 4:30 – 5:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home to help toward Matthew’s final expenses. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Keller family.
