Mary Ann Atwell

Mary Ann Atwell, age 74, of Salisbury, NC, formerly of McDowell County, died on Tuesday June 21, 2022 in Salisbury.

Born on July 1, 1947 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Ethel Burks King. She was a devoted wife and mother. She had lived in North Carolina for the past 15 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Atwell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 27, 2022 at 11:30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 – 11:30 AM prior to the services.
