Marvin Sizemore

On November 30, 2025 at 11:40 AM Marvin Danny Sizemore went home to be with his heavenly father after a stay at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he has happily lived for the last 13 years.

Danny was born January 14, 1949 to Minnie Gay Altizer and Marvin Beggie Sizemore in Bandy,VA where he lived until he served in the US Army from 1969 to 1975. Danny was a beloved husband grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He was a devout Christian and loved spending time in the outdoors.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 35 years Deanna Sizemore, his son, Shawn Sizemore, sisters, Joanne Crouse, Betty Hall, and Billy Boothe, and his step grandson, Cody Anderson.

Those left to forever miss him and cherish his memory are his wife of 6 years Sheldia, his granddaughters, Carlie(Tyler) Laws and Abigail Sizemore, sister, Connie Coburn, great grandchildren, Jaxon, Maverick, and Cleo, stepchildren, Michael(Lynn) Anderson, and Carrie(Jerry) Anderson, daughter-in-law, Gerri Sizemore, many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a special lifetime friend Bane Mundy.

Pastor Joey Thomas will officiate over the graveside service being held at Woodlawn memorial on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 11am. The Mercer County Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites.

Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Sizemore family.
