Margarette Myrtle Hambrick received her heavenly wings on August 28th, 2025. Margarette was born to the late Hugh and Mabel (Gibson) Barnette on November 14, 1933, in Kimball, West Virginia. Margarette married her high school sweetheart (Harold Hambrick) and they spent 30 wonderful years together. Margarette was a faithful member of Deliverance Temple Church. She was a loving wife, good mother and devoted friend.
Margarette was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Eugene Hambrick, son Ronald Burges, sister Naomi Marr, sister Emma Johnson, sister Mabel Barnette, brother Carter Barnette, brother Hugh Barnette, brother Paul Barnette, daughter-in-aw Judy Burgess, son-in-law Michael Woods, and stepdaughter Janet Bourne.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Patricia (Ronnie) Johnson of Virginia, Sharon Woods of West Virginia, Janet (Chris) Brummell of Michigan, David Burgess of West Virginia, and stepdaughter Debbie (Steve) DeHart of West Virginia, her siblings; John (Carolyn) Barnette of West Virginia, Andrew (Yvonne) Barnette of West Virginia, David (Georgia) Barnette of West Virginia, Danny Barnette of West Virginia, Kim (Dale) Tignor of West Virginia and Eliabeth Barnette of West Virginia. Margarette was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Her grandsons will serve as pall bearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday September 4th, 2025, from 6 - 8 pm at Craven Shires Funeral Home, Bluefield, WV
Funeral Services will be held at Craven Shires Funeral Home on Friday September 5th, 2025, at 11:00 am with pastor David Kirby officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV following the service.
