Margaret Sue Crawford

Margaret Sue Thompson Crawford, 88, of Yards Loop Road, Nemours, WV< passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the Maples Health Care in Bluefield.

Born on June 30, 1934 in Boissevain, VA, she was a daughter of the late John and Lucy Asbury Thompson. She had been a resident of Nemours for 57 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and devoted mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roger Crawford; a granddaughter, Crissy Williams; son in law, Leslie Williams, Jr. and 13 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, John Collins, Regina Williams, Anita (Mark) Muncy, Rebecca (Kevin) Cochran and Duane (Jennifer) Crawford; grandchildren, Keith Williams, Heather Sparks, Melissa, Ginny and Laura Hale, Stephanie Woodall, Crystal Burgess, Sarah, Samuel, Samantha and Noah Crawford; great grandchildren, Austin and Kaylynn Sparks, Amanda Williams, Parker and Maddie Woodall, Brooklynn and Desmond Burgess; sister, Julie Pauley of Yards, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with pastor Dewayne Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services on Wednesday, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
