Linda Carol Lockhart (Wagner)
August 28, 1947 – June 4, 2026
Linda Carol Lockhart, 78, of Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in Lerona, West Virginia, surrounded by the love of her family, with her daughter and son by her side.
Linda was the wife of the late Roger Lockhart and the daughter of the late Herbert Wagner and Thelma Wagner (Gardner). She was born on August 28, 1947, in Bluefield, West Virginia, where she lived out her life and built many lasting friendships.
Linda was a woman of strong Christian faith and a devoted member of Lorton Lick Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she generously gave her time in service to others through church ministries, including Vacation Bible School and volunteer work at the church ministry center. Her faith, compassion, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Linda worked for many years as a receptionist for Dr. Radha Krishnan and later served as a receptionist and notary for First Community Bank. She was known for her warm smile, kind heart, and friendly spirit, making lasting friendships wherever she went.
Outside of work and church, Linda found great joy in tending her flower gardens. Her yard reflected the care and beauty she brought to every aspect of her life. She treasured time with family and friends and was blessed with many lifelong friendships that brought her comfort and happiness throughout the years. Linda was especially grateful for the many dear friends whose companionship, love, and support enriched her life.
In addition to her husband, Roger Lockhart, and her parents, Herbert Wagner and Thelma Wagner (Gardner), Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Herbert "June" Wagner Jr. and wife Laura; Hannah Stoklasa and husband Patrick "Pat"; Phyllis Dunn and husband Eugene "Gene"; Donald "Don" Wagner and wife Dorothy; Robert "Bob" Wagner; and Rita Roan and Robert "Bob" Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sherri Kress and husband Christopher "Chris" Kress, and their sons, Tyler Lovin and Greyson Kress; her son, Shannon Lockhart and wife Stephanie, and their son, Logan Lockhart; her sister-in-law, Eileen Wagner (Bob's wife); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, in the mausoleum at Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Princeton, West Virginia, with Pastor Shawn Bragg officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. In accordance with Linda's wishes, there will be no visitation or formal funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linda's honor to Lorton Lick Baptist Church, Rockin' Chair Residential Care, or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Linda's faith, kindness, generosity, and love for her family and friends will be remembered always. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
