Lena Ellen Riley

Lena Ellen Riley, 88, of Bluefield, passed away on Tuesday March 30, 2021 at Stonerise Nursing Home in Princeton. 

Born on March 12, 1933 in Coaldale, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Claude Blizzard Sr. and Mozelle Wood Blizzard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluewell and a graduate of Bramwell High School. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Riley; daughter Cynthia Stassin; brothers Kermit Blizzard and Claude Blizzard Jr.; and son-in-law, Jules Stassin. 

Survivors include two sisters Beulah Radt of Richmond, VA and Lois Brown of Virginia Beach, VA. 

The family would like to say special thanks to Tina Davidson and Ann and Sherman Branch for their love and care. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor James Milan officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
