Laura Anderson

Laura Anderson, known to all her family and friends as La La, passed away November 26, 2022 at her son’s residence. Born March 7, 1973 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of Joyce Gentry and the late Lonnie Gentry. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Roby and Daphna Gentry; maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Delma Jennings; niece, Miranda Gentry; and nephew, Braylen.

Laura leaves behind her loving son, Kyle and companion, Jessica Fowler; seven grandchildren that were the love of her life, Austin, Keith, Katie, Kaisen, Leland, Chloe, and Kiley; brothers, Michael and Brian Gentry of Princeton, WV; sister, Kimberly Able of Winston-Salem, NC;  several aunts, uncles, and cousins and many friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Elder Kenneth Mullins and Lonnie Mullins officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 5, 2022 at Woodlawn Memorial Park where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Anderson family.
