Kevin Stewart Wright, 49, of Bluefield, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, while working. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and the steadfast foundation of his family.

Kevin was born on February 6, 1977, in Mercer County, WV. He attended Graham High School and Tazewell Christian Academy. He later attended trade school, where he specialized in HVAC and refrigeration.

Kevin was a fun-loving, intelligent, and hardworking man who possessed a special gift for bringing joy and laughter to those around him. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his wife, Glenna, and his children. He cherished spending time with the people he loved most, creating lasting memories, sharing laughter, and appreciating the simple moments that often meant the most.

Among Kevin’s favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, fishing, and simply being present for the people he loved. He was the kind of man others could always depend upon, a strong and steady presence who worked tirelessly to provide for and protect his family. To his wife and children, Kevin was more than a husband and father. He was their rock, their safe place, their greatest supporter, and a source of unwavering love and strength.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Glenna Wright, and their children: Kevin Mack Wright, son; Gabrielle Wright, daughter; Glenna “Sharee” Rose, daughter and niece; Aiden Bailey, son; Alyssa Rose, daughter and niece; Megan Rose, daughter and niece; Khloe Rose, daughter and niece; Tori Wright, daughter; Aubrey Rose, daughter and niece; Clifford Rose, son and nephew; Levi Wright, son; William Holmes, son and nephew; and his granddaughter, Emory Nickole.

He is also survived by his parents, Freda Wright and Barry Wright; his brother, Barry Wright Jr., and his wife, Kim Wright, along with their children, Anna Wright, Garrett Wright, and Grant Wright; and his sister, Amanda Woolridge, and her husband, Marty Woolridge, along with their children, Makayla and Grace and special aunt Reba.

Kevin also leaves behind a loving host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Friends include; JW, Richard, Robbie, Glenn, and John. Grandparents Fred and Carlene, and Grandma Nell Wright.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, kindness, and countless memories Kevin gave to those around him will remain in their hearts forever. His presence brought strength and warmth to his family, and his legacy will continue through the lives of all those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Service

Funeral services for Kevin Stewart Wright will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Cravens Shires Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Long officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.
