Kenneth Davidson

Kenneth M. Davidson, 86, of Bramwell, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at WVU Medical Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on the 29th day of September 1936, in Montcalm, WV, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ola Sizemore Davidson. A resident of Bramwell, WV since 1953, he was a graduate of Bramwell High School, Class of 1955. Retiring after nearly 50 years from Commercial Printing Co., of Bluefield, VA. He also worked for Reliable Printing Co., of Bluefield, WV, and Blake Auction Co., of Bluefield, WV.

He was on of the original founding members of the Bluefield West Virginia Rescue Squad, having served several years as Field Training Officer. He was among the first Certified E.M.T.s in Southern West Virginia, and during his tenure, he was honored by his peers, and the Bluefield West Virginia Jaycees as Rescue Squadman of the Year.

In later years he also served on their Board of Directors, and on his departure, he was decreed a Life Member. He loved his family, enjoyed wood working, bird watching, delving into local history, and doing family Genealogy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 58 years, Shirley Quizenbeury Davidson of Bluefield, WV; son, Brian K. Davidson; brothers, Fitzhugh Lee Davidson and Maynard Davidson.

Survivors include, brothers, Roger Davidson of Bluefield, WV, Clarence Davidson and wife Maria of Icard, NC; grandsons, Kevin and wife Andrea Davidson of Bluefield, WV, Matthew Davidson of Tallahassee, FL; great granddaughter, Willow Grace Davidson of Bluefield, WV; great grandson, Gunner Forest Davidson; brother in law, Randy James and wife Hallie of Bramwell, WV, who was so much help to him; nephew Ronnie Hodge of Bluefield, VA; niece Tabatha Boothe of Tazewell, VA.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A Visitation will be held for both Kenneth and Shirley Davidson on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Davidson family.
